You know what? Now that VSala mentioned it, I remember putting a reduced power spring in my 1894 along with the WWG trigger. I got rid of the safety also. All of this and a good internal cleaning and I have a smooth and nice shooting rifle. I got a load it likes and I am ready for deer season.
Jack I would do it. As I’ve said before I have WWG triggers in all my Marlins but 2. A gun smith polished my 338mx and except for flop it is great. My new 338MXLR has the RPP trigger and spring. I prefer the RPP for several reasons, weight, crisper, wider and has a more natural curve. I paid less for the RPP trigger, must have gone up. Another thread has my pictures of both.
