    Another DIY fire pit

Built this over the weekend with my nephew and brother-in-law.
All the stone came off the property.

    mighty fine,

I guess my 55 gallon drum is not passe..guess I need to find some stone. Kind of hard to find in the swamp land, if I piled that much stone in one spot it would sink out of sight in a year...................

My grounds so rocky I could probably get enough rocks outta the pit being dug....

However complicated the issues become... it comes down to one simple question. Which is more important to you Life or Liberty? I've made my decision long ago.

I'm with mrguvna, my fire pit is the bottom half of a 55 gallon drum.

    Good work you stonemasons.
I'm jealous of you guys with good stackable angular rocks. Around here we mostly have rounded ones that rolled all the way down from Canada.
We call them winter potatoes- they come up every spring.

    Dry laid?
if not, some air holes in the sides might be needed because of the depth.
Fuel and oxygen go well together.
it makes the smoke rise differently if your setting around the pit.
    It looks really nice
