Some nice Marlins there. I've been keeping an eye open for a good deal on a 39. I'll find one eventually I guess, always seems to be somewhere else my money needs to go though.

Nice marlins John. You told me about most of them yesterday, which I enjoyed. It was a pleasure.
I am on page 37 now and I will get this thread read before long. Very interesting. Once I get it
read I will be keeping up with it by checking it everyday. Hope everything's well with you.

Mark, I have never dove hunted but this little shotgun might just be the ticket -- it is cylinder bored and that might not have a dense enough pattern. I've always figured if I was gonna get my **** kicked by a twelve guage (all I've had til now), and then clean something, and then go to trouble of cooking it, I wanted more than 2 bites Hey, how's the hand doing?

David, thanks for the update -- if you can stomach 110 pages of this thread you are indeed a glutton for punishment! We need to start planning a little get-together for this summer. Mark has a place just south of 29 on 183.

John, of course one of those USED to be yours HEEHEE!!

Thanks for looking in guys! Take care 'cause I care! John

I suppose I should come pay you a visit again. Of course you could always come out here for lunch on Monday, I've got the day off.

Good to hear from you Skids!!! Actually we're going to Abilene Monday to have dinner with some friends and celebrate our 53rd wedding anniversary. You and mama and the kiddos all good? If we put together a get-together, I'll be sure to let you know! John

PS When did you get the 444?

Mama and the Kiddo's are good. The .444 is long gone, I traded it for a .30-30 and .350 Rem. both of which need some work and to be zeroed. Have fun in Abilene, that's too far north for me.

OK, let's start looking at an early April time frame and if it's OK (since I am the oldest one here) we'll do it here at the Hoot N Holler Hidey Hole. I'm thinking and putting together something! More later (and JohnPickar, I understand it's too far for you to travel)! I figure we'll start this small and let it grow to an annual or semi-annual thing! It'll never be like the WDRA gatherings, but maybe it could have a cool name any way -- any ideas? John
