On this date in military history

1745, the French troops attacked the Indians at Saratoga NY, on the present day site of Schuylerville NY, on the west bank of the Hudson River.

No Primers, I think you meant the French and Indians attacked Saratoga. Something along the numbers of 30 settlers killed and 60 or so carried back to Canada as prisoners. King George's War, a great time to be on the frontier!

It's what you learn after you know it all that makes a difference.

A typo I'm sure. I've always thought I was born a couple hundred years too late.

The Raid on Saratoga was an attack by a French and Indian force on the settlement of Saratoga, New York on November 28, 1745, during King George's War. Led by Paul Marin de la Malgue, the allied force of 600 burned the settlement, killing about 30 and taking 60 to 100 prisoners, in addition.
