    September 10

    1945--- Jose Feliciano born in Puerto Rico.

    1950--- Joe Perry born in Boston,Mass.

    1962---- The BBC bans 'The Monster Mash' by Bobby 'Boris' Pickett saying the song is offensive and in bad taste.

    1964--- The Kinks hit 'You really Got Me' reaches #1 in the UK.

    1965--- The Byrds begin recording 'Turn Turn Turn' in their studio.

    1966--- The Rolling Stones appear on Ed Sullivan.
    The Beatles 'Revolver' reaches #1 on the USA album chart.
    The Supremes 'You Can't Hurry Love' reaches #1 on the USA singles chart.
    The Monkees 'Last Train To Clarksville' enters the USA Pop chart.

    Revolver was the first Beatles album that I ever bought back in late Aug 1966 (if I remember right). I had to do a con job of my dad in order to get permission to buy it.

    Mairzy Doats, a song written and composed by Milton Drake,Al Hoffman, & Jerry Livingston.
    First played on radio station WOR new York.
    Made the Pop charts several times, with a version by the Marry Macs, reaching #1 in March 1944.
    The song was a #1 seller in sheet music as well. With 450,000
    Sales in just 3 weeks.
    Mairzy Doats and Dozy Doats and Liddle Lamzy Divey .
