    Today in Rock n Roll History

    1957--- American Bandstand hosted by Dick Clark first aired today. Previously it was Philadelphia Bandstand on WFIL TV Channel 6.

    1958--- The Coasters perform Yakkety Yak on American Bandstand's first anniversary show.

    1963--- Fingertips by Little Stevie Wonder hits the top of the chart.

    1965--- Sonny and Cher play their first British concert at London's 100 Club.

    1966--- The Beatles release Revolver. Considered by many to be their finest work.
