    First Creek Hike

    This is a nice easy hike near Red Rock.

    This is a nice pool to visit in summertime:



    We climbed up on a ledge and had some coffee:



    View looking back on the trail from the ledge:



    Look closely and you'll see some rock climbers in the middle of the picture:



    We saw plenty of rabbits, a couple of deer and this blue bird:

    speak softly and carry a 50 bmg...

    Very nice pictures Vegasguy! One question, do you do a lot of over night trips or mostly day trips? My wife, my son and I have recently gotten back into hiking but most of our trips will be daytrips. I did buy a new Osprey Krestal 3800 cubic inch pack last week for our day trips and maybe an ocasional over night stay...

    I do mostly day trips but plan/pack for overnight if absolutely necessary. I guess I watched too much Survivorman.
