My little ones must be getting big!

Took the boys out this morning to shoot the .22's.
My youngest is 10 and my oldest is 12.
The youngest just outgrew his little single shot Davey crickett rifle and moved into my only 22, a camo model 60c He loves it, and had to have it! Now both my boys own Marlin model 60c's. They can shoot rather well too.

Anyhow as we shot for about an hour with my brother (who had his family there as well)
He broke out his pistol, so I got out my xd in 45.
My boys have never even looked twice at it because its so loud right? Today out of the blue my youngest Chris asks if he can shoot it. Then Nick asks too! I was happy and surprised as well.

So after about a minute of proper training and reiterating safety issues I allowed it. First I held on to their hands for a few shots, then they wanted to do it all by themselves.
As I taught them to load magazines, I pulled out one single 45 round in a nickel case, it had Chris' name written on it! He always helps me handload, and we remembered he had loaded this shell all by himself. ha ha we laughed and I let him load it into the magazine and off he went!

Dad is super Tickled! here is the little one with his own handload fixing to let er rip in dads big 45 ha!

and here is my 10 year old trying it out for the very first time on his own.

    Thanks for watching guys!
