Don't have a deer camp. Wish I did. I do carry cliff bars at all times. Son snarfs them down. I try not to eat too much. As for chocolate covered Ritz, never saw them before. They do look good.

I always have meat sticks from Atwoods and various kinds of jerky. Among other things I have are packs of crackers, my fav when I can find them are the jalapeno cheese when I can find them, Trail mix bars, mixed nuts. Occasionally little Debbie's especially nutty bars, oatmeal creme, miniature candy bars, almond joy, snickers and peppermint patties. Used to carry fruit but it always bruised or got hot. Can't stand me no bruised or warm non crisp apple. I usually only carry water, gator aide or a thermos full of coffee.
I can keep coffee hot all day. Buy the best Thermos you can. make your coffee and boil some water. Pour boiling water in thermos and let stand for 10-15 minutes. Pour coffee into a microwavable pourable container and heat to almost boiling. Exchange the hot water for coffee. Lasts all day. In very cold conditions you may want your mug to be insulated also and have a water tight lid. Keep boiled water in it until ready to use. Keep your mug topped of with hot coffee. Some days I have stayed on a stand from sun up to sun down.

I usually bring along beef jerky, a box of apple turnovers, trail mix, tangerines, and any left over chocolate candy from Halloween.

I just gained 10lbs reading this thread. Homemade jerky and hardtack to dip in the coffee. Don't want to eat too much have to save room for chili and a nap in front of the woodstove.

I don't have a deer camp to go to, but on my day trips some beer sticks and a fried egg sandwich, candy bar and water gets me through the day
Now moose camp would be a full page listing.

Plebian meals for morning and evening repasts.
    Usually Eggs Benedict for breakfast,
    Lobster Thermidor for supper,
At lunch I break out the True Gourmet goodies,
    Deviled Ham on Triscuit crackers.
Breakfast and Supper are only in my imagination

I take a few packs of Austin crackers (minus the plastic wrappers)...I buy the variety pack so I don't have the same ones all the time. I also buy the chewy granola bars...however, they don't stay chewy in 10* weather. A sandwich (PBJ) and an apple. Wash it all down with a thermos of coffee...and I'm good to do.

I avoid anything with eggs....deer HATE eggs. I think its the sulfur....wanna keep then from eating your shrubs...mix eggs and water in a squirt bottle and they'll leave the plants alone. I don't take any chances.

Good point on cold. A cliff bar is good down to around 35 degrees. Colder than that you will want to put it under the insulation, inside pocket, if you don't want to snap off a tooth. They get hard.
