    Happy Camper - Finally!

New member but a long time lurker here. A Camp 9 has been on my bucket list for years, but the crazy prices have kept me from getting one. Until yesterday! I picked this one up locally - an all original 1988 in excellent condition. Not a spot of rust or stock ding on it. It came with the original 12 rd. mag, a NIB MecGar 20 rd. mag and a Blackjack buffer installed (plus a spare). The Tasco 3x9 will have to go but will probably stay on until I find something more appropriate for it. I ordered a 16.5# spring last night.

I'll probably be going to jail if the seller ever figures out that the $350 I paid for it was essentially stealing it....

Welcome from South Florida and congrats on a sweet deal!

Thanks for the welcomes. This form was incredibly helpful in my early forays into model 60's and a 336 or two. I think I've read almost every post in this sub-forum so I feel I'm ready to be a responsible Camp 9 owner now, lol. I really want to take this to the range this weekend but I'm going to patiently wait until the recoil spring comes in.

Welcome and congratulations. It is always a great day when you find a gun you have been looking for, or even one you weren't looking for.

I paid $650 for my camp 9 last year. You got an incredible deal! I also started my love affair for Marlins with a model 60. My buffer used to crack a lot so I had some experience taking them apart and the Camp 9 is not much different. keep an eye those buffers and have spare recoil springs in your parts kit.
