Need some help scoping a BLR 30.06

I want to put a scope on my lever action BLR 81 Monte Carlo 30.06 rifle. The rifle doesn't have iron front or rear sights. I only range shoot no hunting in the woods. I'd like some scope opinions on scopes in the price range of $150.000 - $250.00. Please help and thanks!

Not sure what ranges you want to shoot but a good basic, quality, economical scope would be a Leupold 3x9x40 American Marksman. On sale now at Cabela's for $180. One piece Leupold base would make a solid mount also.

All the BLRs I've handled seemed best suited for low scope rings. Browning sells one peice rings and bases that I believe Talley manufactures for them.

    Warne rings also seem popular.

I've had good luck with Vortex optics.

I will have a Nikon Buckmasters II 3-9x40 riflescope mounted on my BLR Monte Carlo 81 lever action .30.06 rifle. I purchase one today from Cabales but they didn't have the mount so I had to order a STD Browning BLR 2 -Piece from amazon usa.

I have a Sightron II straight 6 with Leupold rings and mount on my Browning 81 30-06. It has been a good combination for me.

I went back to Cabales to have my scope mounted, and bad news enter it's ugly head.I order the mount that they told me I needed and had to buy the rings there today done. The guy come's back and tell's me the Buckmaster II scope want fit because the mounts are a two piece set and can't be adjusted to fit in the rings so I had to change scopes.I went with Cabelas Caliber-Specific Riflescope 3-12x40. Here's the scoped BLR 30.06.

Good luck with the Cabela's caliber specific scope ,I put one on my AR and it wouldn't hold zero and reticle seemed to almost float.
