I have used them. What do you want to know? Easy to shoot with almost no recoil. Limited range and accuracy, but thats not what they were designed for. Good for up close and personal, I favoured a dot sight. Had one with an Eotec and later an Aimpoint Micro. The ones I knew were mostly flat tops. Cant think what to add? Nice gun looks little used, enjoy it.

What did you pay for it? I am thinking around 1200 to 1500 for a preban. The market is soft for AR's right now!

The original mags were modified UZI mags by Colt. A little tough to find originals and be prepared to pay for them as they are not cheap either. Even though the market on AR platform rifles is soft as mentioned the early pre-bans are still carrying a premium value. Last one I saw last year which was in very good condition with no box or papers was still $1900. Colt stop production a long time ago but has since started up again but sales seem to be to law enforcement only right now.
Don't shoot cast bullets out of it as they will lead the heck out of your barrel. The one I owned back in the mid 90's shot really well with 115 and 124 gr not so well with the heavier 147's. If you reload keep them hot up to factory velocities or you could start having cycling issues.
    Nice find

Both the ones I had hands on used Uzi magazines. They had to have a new mag release slot cut up high of course. Thing is Uzi mags are, were, very easy to get. We kinda had a bucket full and found a nearby engineers to cut the new slots. Almost all 32 rd, I preferred the 25rd ones (Full auto needed the larger, maybe 3 secs worth. Could be wrong, been a while).
