Anyone Have A SIG SAUER ROMEO5 1X20MM RED DOT SIGHT ? Like It?

I found a NIB SIG SAUER ROMEO 5 1X20MM RED DOT SIGHT, BLACK on sale. Comes with Bikini style lens cover, Torx installation tool, lens cloth, CR2032 battery, Romeo 5, a low profile mount and an absolute co-witness riser”.

Don PSA made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

So I bought it, and figured I'd ask if anyone here owns one and likes it and if it'll be worth a gnat's posterior.

I watched a u tube video where a guy used it, shot well with it, then tossed it @15 ft' in the air and let it hit the ground , froze it, thawed it, and shot it twice with 12 gauge 00 buck and the danged thing still worked and held zero. Kinda impressed me.

I think I'm feeling a tad proud of myself for being a frugal guy. Did I do good or fail? Is this a pretty good red dot without breaking the bank ?

What else will I need to mount it to my 5.56 ? Anything else ?

My brother has one on his new souped up Ruger PC carbine and it worked fine for me. I have to have the intensity turned down so It does not star. I must have a slight astigmatism. Better head to the optometrist.

I got one to put on my Kel Tec Sub2000.It was on sale at the Palmetto State Armory site for $119 and shipped free!.I really like it.And it comes with a 5 yr warranty.
It works great w/9mm at the 50 yrd range. And I am sure you could stretch it out to 100 yrds on an AR 15.Look on the Palmetto State armory website.I believe they still have it on sale.

You did good, they're very strong optics. I own 2 and am very pleased. I Like the holosun dots and the Romeo's. One of my Romeo's held up to the 458 socom so far to over 600 rounds and still rock solid and on target. the other is on a 1022 for plinking.

Like above, you will probably like it a little better not turned up to full brightness.. in bright light, sometimes you will see a red halo ring around the edges... Astigmatism or not, they will have a star effect sometimes all the way up. I have no problem running them 2 clicks above off, and prefer it that way myself.

Solid optics, and well worth the money.

That's where I purchased it from today. been watching prices on several brands of red dots. Seemed like a killer deal to me, comparing features, build vs. price. I didn't want to sink 200+ bucks in a red dot if I could help it. Leaves me more $ for a longer range scope soon.

Used one last weekend on a suppressed sig sauer Rattler with Romeo 5 circle dot . Really liked it seemed to work great. The combo had a lot of rounds through it before I used. It was sig demo weekend at KTP in Maine. I'm going to purchase one for my Ruger PC carbine.

Sorry for the thread drift but how do you have it mounted on your Sub2k? And how well does it work in night conditions? I have a Sub2000 but haven't put any sights on it yet, and last weekend unsuccessfully tried to use it hunting beavers at the deer lease.
