    First of the year

Generally....I do not shoot Jakes as I leave them for the kids and future stock.

I also hunt my own property and this year i am covered in birds.
There were 7 birds talking to me this am at first light....once they answered...I stopped calling.
I was watching birds pitch out of trees one at a time going in every direction.
under my face mask I was smiling as it was a treat to watch.

This little fella pitched from 100 yds and landed 20 steps from me!
At first I thought he would fly right into me lol.

Being that we can now shoot 2 in NH spring season,I just couldn't resist.
He hit the ground in front of me....went into full strut...gobbled ….and Boom!

    He will be good eating.
Now its time for a long beard...Good luck guy's.20200502_053719.jpg
