Pheasant hunting 2017 (106 year old shotgun)

This is a South Dakota Pheasant hunt from last weekend. I was using my 106 year old 1897 Winchester pictured on the far left. This picture is from Day two. We hunted North East of Winner SD. We shot our birds but had to work for them.

Looks like most all the classics, old and new. 1897 Winnie, Ithaca 37, a Benelli for the modern - Is that a Winchester M12 on the right? Nice! AC

I think you called it. Yes, the gun on the far right is a model 12.

Last year I drew blood three old side by sides, An old Parker, a 16 gauge LC Smith, and an old A.H Fox. I enjoy putting the old ones back into service.

Hey Tach - thanks for the pic and glad you got your birds. Am not going to SD for pheasant this year (only the second missed year in the past 20). Decided to go to MN for grouse/woodcock instead and "Mom" said I was only allowed ONE out-of-state bird trip this fall.

I had read the pheasant numbers were down in South Dakota but not for your bird crew....a nice day afield with the old ones (guns) I have a Parker Brothers SXS built in 1901 I have hunted Pheasant in Nebraska with and occasionally shoot 5-stand clays with. The old shotguns have character...
