Just got home from a week of fishing and boat shopping at the coast.

Caught mullet, speckled trout, pompano, black drum, flounder and skates in the surf.

And checked the camera in the driveway as soon as I got home.

It appears to be a juvenile.
It was dark when I got home, but will check tomorrow. We are in bear country and have one sow with three cubs and another with 4 on the food plot/feeder cameras this year, as well as others. This is the closest we have ever had one to the house. Maybe it was just checking to make sure we were OK.

So, what kind of boat did you buy?

    Where were you fishing?

Sounds like a great day fishing! glad you enjoyed the week. So any pics of the boat?......Boy sure is a comforting feeling that the critters miss you when you are away and come to check on the house.

Thanks for asking. Fishing at Salter Path, NC, not far from you, HIKayaker. Had to release the flounders as season is closed. Looked at a boat on the way down in Lexington, NC. Looked at a bunch, and sea trialed a couple at the coast, but going back in a week or so to trial the 22' Cobia CC on a lake in the area. It looks like the best option for what I am looking for. I have committed to it pending the trial. The owner stepped up to a 33' Glacier Bay. Pictures when I get her home.

As for the bear damage-the only thing I have found so far is that it tried to get on the inground pool cover and pushed part of it in. No damage, but I can imagine what the liner would have looked like if it had actually gone all the way in.

When I lived in PA, we had a neighborhood bear that was using one of the neighbor's hot tubs. They initially thought is was the kids...
