So I shared hunting area info...

I shared hunting area info with neighbor of mine. Good guy, combat veteran.

He REALLY wanted a bear this year. I gave him directions on how to get there, where to park, how far to walk in...

Last night he told me that he got a 6' long bear, roughly 300 pounds, and thanked me profusely.

    HAPPY for him.

    Guy

On average, hunters are really nice people. Guy certainly fits in that category!!!

Good for you both. Nice of you to share.

I hope you asked that he not share your spot with anyone. I've heard of a few great spots ruined by inconsiderate " Friends ".

Had a few ask about some hunting spots that have yielded bigger game than most get through the years. When you get to the spot telling them it is hiking seven miles in from the trail head, they usually start to get a glazed look in the eyes. Every once in a while you get someone willing to put in the miles, and generally they have good results. Luckily it is uphill going in!

I was just thinking the same thing, especially when I read the title.
I'd rather hunt with Cheney, than ride with Kennedy.

    Very nice.
Sounds like you have a friend for life now.

I agree with "old wound", hope he doesn't talk too much.

This is exactly what I wanted to convey, as well...very selfless.
