    Deer camp workday

Long day at deer camp. Got a new stand up, limbs trimmed, spot picked out for a new blind in a thicket. Got all the cameras out. Deer season will be here before you know it. Can’t wait......

Summers on the wane here in New England, 75°F today, warm and dry air. Be diving for Scallops before I know it!

We're going to my camp this weekend to clean up the camp, bush hog the yard, put up some firewood, and hang up last years deer mount. Oh yeah, maybe have a beer.

Arky73, Wishing you a good hunting season. Back in the early ‘80’s I had the opportunity to join a real good hunting club (north of St. Francisville, La) near where I lived. I made a couple of hunts as a guest, and participated in a couple of work-days. And then.....when their lease was up for renewal, and a bunch of “doctors, lawyers, politicians, and Indian Chiefs” offered way more than working people could afford🤬. They lost their lease and I my opportunity to join a good club. This was one of the many things that helped prompt me to move to Wyoming. For hunting, camping, shooting, and lack of people......a decision, I “do not” regret! memtb

I can't wait either! Went out to my deer stand about 10 days ago. Made sure everything was good to go and put out some deer feed. Next--I need to verify the zero for my ML rifle. I also have to put down some more deer feed before Sep 1st--the last day its legal to do so..........

Doing the same thing here in Georgia. Trimmed some limbs that may be in the shooting lane, cleaned out the shooting house, put a new timer on the feeder and loaded it up with corn. Now it time to make sure the .35 is ready to do it's job.

I gotta wait until the end of the month (Sept). That's when my hunting buddy takes his son up for the Youth Waterfowl weekend in NH. I go along to scout, sight -in, and hunt tree-rats. Its a great time...but I have a month to go.

Didn't happen with out pic's... LOL buddy! I bow hunt at the house but have a 1,700 acre lease not to far away I share with 9 others and my brother. We are responsible for our own stands and shooting lanes. There is a place where a few campers park and they clean that up.
My brother and I have our own place for a camper. Quiet and secluded the way we like it. I don't camp much because I have 3 dogs, 1 cat, ten chickens and two heifers and a calf (steer now). When my wife don't work I can go.
