Just had two decent sized moose come by our sun-room. These two and others have been hanging around this summer. They better move off or they might end up in a neighbors freezer. Tried to up load a video, but, can't get it figured out. We have had Cows, Calves, and Bulls, more then ever this summer.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why some pictures are on file correctly and get turned randomly when up loaded.
I would think that being "knee deep in moose" is a good problem to have until they start getting into your garden.
Great pictures. Thanks!

Neighbors freezer? I think one of them would be in yours.
Not responsible for what people think, just what I am.
Last moose I shot decided to die out in the middle of a pond. Twice shot, both shots just nicked the heart. That was a cold long day. That's not the reason I don't hunt moose anymore. It took me 2 years to eat that moose and moose meat makes me fart. For that reason, I guess, the wife wouldn't let me hunt moose even if I would ask.
The hunts always fun, just a 20 minute walk into the valley and see whats there. As you all know, once the trigger is pulled, that's when the work starts. I wish we had white tails here, taking care of 100 to 150 pound critter would be much nicer than a critter 8 to 10 times that size.
Nice pics! I miss Alaska, 1987-1990 at Fort Richardson.

Rocky J. Squirrel better warn them, or else...
About sun-up this morning had a cow and 2 year old visit our garden scrap pile. We had just harvested all of the potatoes and most of the carrots and take the leavings out to the yard edge and no further as I'm lazy.
Minutes afterwards this the moose came up to the tower/woodshed and Biscuit and I went out on the porch for a better view. Biscuit started out to the woodshed when Mom rounded the off side and got a look at my Border Collie and though it better the Biscuit should be on the porch with me. A quick little run put Biscuit sitting on my foot, leaning against my leg. Mom just wanted to make sure that her 2 year old was OK and moved down between the porch and woodshed. Big critters up close.
