    Walking with the Mule Deer

Went for a walk this morning, near the confluence of the Wenatchee & Columbia Rivers. About a ten min drive from my home. Bumped into our resident mule deer herd. Looks like they're doing well. Couldn't get a decent shot of the bald eagles nesting there. Not today anyway:

Sure set the tone for a nice morning.

I have to admit that I like "hunting" with a camera just as much as hunting with a rifle.

The eating is a little slim though.

It's all about experiencing nature at it finest and it looks like you do that often.

Thanks for the great pics. A lot of the time my daily walks will turn into a hunt. I will have to get a camera to share some of my sightings.

Love them mulies! Grew up hunting them and nothing compares to carrying my marlin 30/30 (or my dad's 32 special when I was younger) and walking the rim rocks and ridge lines and timber slopes hunting them "old school". I definitely see and watch a lot more than I shoot. Mulies are my favorite.
