    moving to AUS (maybe)

    Hey folks,
my family and I are looking for some adventure in out lives and frankly moving around inside the US just isn't looking as exciting as we want. I know I'm in for a culture shock but I'm looking for any insight for items I don't find on Expat blogs: where is the best hunting? I Don't know if its even something I as a visa holder could get into depending on laws; so barring that how about fishing?

    Thanks in advance.

well I think you can kiss most of your gun rights you enjoy here in the US goodbye! that should be an adventure in itself,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I have never harvested an animal but I have KILLED QUITE A FEW !

I would rather have a gun in my hand than a cop on the phone,,,,,,,,,

oh don't worry, my collection is staying in the family. I know outside of the states (and even in some of them) my Glocks, ARs, and M1s aren't welcome.

Bit of a mixed bag hunting wise. Game is scattered all over the place. Big sambar deer in the south, the BIG bovines mostly in the north. Fish all over the place[ if you can find water ] No seasons on any species. Cold as a witch's elbow here at the moment [ snowed for the first time in 20 years 1 hour to the south last week!!!] Not sure how you go about bringing in your guns, but i'm positive you can somehow. Just forget about semi-autos & pump shotties. You'll have a great time!

it's always been a place i'd love to see but not sure i'd want to live there.
the culture and animal species there intrigue me...facinate me actually...
but i don't think, no, i know, i'll never leave Texas for good.
