    450 is JM Most xlr's seem to be $1400 or north.

    For some reason they vary compared to the 1895XLR (45-70). Sometimes more, sometimes less.
    Always better to carry "too much" gun and too many cartridges...
    Marlin 1894SS(2009), Winchester 1886 Ultralight rifle(1910), Springfield Trapdoor carbine(1880), Sharps carbine(1863), Savage 99 358 Winchester.

    The only XLR remlin is making right now is chambered in 30-30 Winchester

    There is a nice 450 Marlin on Armslist priced at $1225.

    I avoid Armslist due to history of scammers.
    Hopefully it is getting better.

    Agree 100%. Unless it is a brick and mortar store, A/L is a good way to get ripped off, especially on cheaply priced high end stuff.... A few years back I was looking on their web site and came across a S&W 657 for $800 NIB. Contacted the seller, and he said that he still had it. I had him send me a copy of his FFL for shipment and ran it thru the FFL ez check to verify it. The address on the FFL was in Florida, but the ez check number put it in Ohio. Contacted my local ATF and they alerted the guys down south. They said it was a great bust for them.
