The 450 is fun
I thought I paid a pretty penny for my ported 1895M last year.
But just recently an unported 1895M was up for Auction on egun in Germany and it went for almost 2200€
I followed the auction thinking I might bid if it doesn’t go too high, to replace mine with the ports, but man, that escalated more than I ever imagined.
So, moral of the story, keep your treasures! They are only going to go up in value if you keep them well maintained.
I had a 45-70 for years and never thought I "needed" a .450 Marlin. Then one day I made a deal on a ported 450 guide gun cause it was calling to me. Man what a difference! I got no plans to let this 450 leave the stable.

Hope to add a Marlin or BLR 450 to my rifle collection soon.
