Here's a 100 meter group I shot today with my 1985 made in 81.
Notice a couple of things:
The squares on this target are 3/4"
There are two 3 shot groups here, one with 400 grain Speer Flat nose 51.5 gr of IMR3031, and the other, 350 gr Speer flat nose, with 53 gr of 3031.
Both groups are sub 3/4"
I find it pretty interesting that 6 shots can produce a sub 1 1/4 " group with two different loads.
I fired a couple of more shots using 300gr hollow points on another target that were just about 1/2 higher than this group.
I am really enjoying this rifle!
I'll be ecstatic if I can get the same out of mine.
Good shooting. Those groups should have you putting meat on the table.
Very nice .........all I would ask of any of my 1895s.
can you tell us more abut the set up, barrel length, scope etc. or a pic of your 1895 I assume its an S
Happy times for sure.
Big, flatnose bullets eliminate tracking.
