I'm not sure that scope will hold up on a 45-70. And what's the eye relief?

Cabelas, like most big box stores will contract with known manufacturers to make scopes with their brand (like Marlin made guns for Sears, Western Auto, etc.). The specs won’t be the same no doubt but it could be decent depending on the price point.

I’ve heard some models are made by Meopta, others could be from Vortex or who knows.

It’s a 4 in. The vortex crossfire ll is like 9 in. Don’t think I can do that on the mount I am using. I have also found a Swift 4x40 that might work.

I was looking at the crossfire scout. The crossfire has a 3.9 in eye relief. That might tie the one.

Cabela's scopes, not a fan. I had one for a while and it went bad. Would no longer hold zero. I called Cabela's. They told me there was nothing I could do and there was no place to send it for repairs. The factory warranty was not for very long and had expired. Were it a Leupold or other name brand scope I could more than likely have had it repaired or replaced. Optics were decent for the price. Wish I had paid a little more and bought something else.

I have found over the years that Cabela's products in general have been decent for the price. But I will stay away from the scopes from now on.

Freedom : Monday morning, just my airboat, 50 gallons of aviation fuel and a good machette. Left the truck 30 mile back. No telephones, no radio. Be home on Friday God willing.

After looking long and hard I think I found the scope.

I do not need a massive scope on this gun and I think this will fit with the set up I am after.
Now just hoping the dnz mount will be high enough for the hammer to clear the scope.
