    Tandy Leather will have all the supplies you need. Just do a Google search on their name and you'll see a link to their products. I use them all the time. You can order from them online or hopefully you'll be close to one of their stores.

    Leather working is a great hobby. It's sort of like reloading only more gratifying as you don't shoot up your accomplishment.

    The stain adds waterproofing, as does the wax and polish. If needs be, it can be soaked in a hot beeswax mix, which renders it totally resistant to water but also stiffens it.

    Haven't had problems with sheaths, bolt holders and so on but they haven't been totally sodden.
