    444 raffle

Ok , here goes. Going to try this , if it doesn't fly guess I'll say I tried .
This is a follow up to the thread I had posted in June about a raffle , https://www.marlinowners.com/forum/44...44-raffle.html. Board owners didn't want it referenced to the board so I am doing one local as a fund raiser to support the Leukemia Research Foundation . Just thought would post the what for's here and open it up to all 444 Addicts.

    444 RAFFLE
This raffle is for a Magnum Research Stainless Steel BFR 444 Marlin 10.5 in barrel, Excellent Condition with box, manual, scope base and both a nylon and a leather holster. Pictures sent by e-mail on request.

Raffle is a Fund Raiser for the http://www.leukemia-research.org/ All who donate will be recognized in a letter along with the donation, also a Tribute to or In Memory of a family member or a friend can acknowledged. All proceeds over final expenses will be donated to http://www.leukemia-research.org/.

Rules are pretty simple. A minimum of 444 chances/tickets will be available. Drawing for the winning number will be December 14th 2012, unless the minimum isn’t reached then it will be as soon as it is. So hopefully winner can get it in time for Christmas. Donations are $5.00 a chance/ticket. Donate for as many as you wish. Payment preferred is Money Order or Good Personal Check, when money is received the requested number of chances will be allotted and a e-mail sent with the ID # of chances. If for any reason a personal check comes back with insufficient funds it will be mailed back to origination. A weekly report will be posted here as to the status of the Raffle.
    Correspondence e-mail is [email protected]

    Payment may be sent to

Well this didn't go like I would of thought it would of . Not a single response for chances ..
Sold 20 some chances local , but not a big handgun hunting crowd around here ..

Would leave it open and try to sell out chances if get any interests but looks pretty bleak so far ..

Let me know if should just shut it down.
Contacted the ones here local and they said to just donate the funds anyway .

    Thanks
    I tried .

Steve, Sorry I have no interest in a hand cannon that large, thou they are built very well. I was born and raised on a farm 17 miles south of Montezuma, went to school in New Sharon. Sold my half of the home farm to my brother, he's in poor shape, don't know what he's gonna do with it. DP

I don't have any desire for the gun, but I like the cause. Made a donation while on the site.
