This fat cow was taken running in dark timber, while my prior handloaded 265FP's have taken their share, been using Beartooth 290 grain hard cast with Marshals load data for the last 10 + years. I am rather old school and use a peep site for these old eyes. Punches a big hole in and out and the energy dump constantly drops these big critters, most shots are taken under 40 yards. Downside of dropping a big animal in timber is looking forward to a long pack out.
Congrats on getting your fat cow kill.
