Holy smokes Batman, that's a lot of scope for a 444.

That ought to help you zero in. I had to put some glass on mine too (3x9x40). My eyes are getting older.

I had to re-scope mine. Went to sight in and noticed the base was a little loose. Took a shot a couple shots anyway at 100, knowing I would have to re-verify once I re-tightened the base. It was about a foot low... When I re-installed the base, I switched the scope out from a Nikon to a Redfield. Both are 3-9x40. I have to re-zero anyway.

I am scoping mine next week when it arrives with a Redfield Revolution 3-9x40 with the Accu range reticle and Leopold rings on a Weaver base,at least for this fall.
