FINDING 444 BRASS bad easter egg hunt ! looking for some for my 375 jdj !

I am looking for 444 marlin brass for my 375 jdj contender .Its like a bad Easter egg hunt without any eggs .
THE hornady brass is short and thick the Remington brass is good.
Anyone ever made a custom 375 jdj lever gun ?

You my have to order direct from JD Jones (SSK Industries) its formed from 444 but near impossible to make some from scratch. I tried to years ago for my 309JDJ/358JDJ. Good luck!

have you ever thought of trying a 9.3 x 74R it might be first trimmed then Fl sized then from fired
My Avatar is my brother John who left me to soon. He was 10 Y/O 1 month older than me. He took me off the Streets of Brooklyn taught me how to handle a rifle and to hunt. For his attention I would always be grateful. Rest in Peace Brother John.

My buddy bought a 375JDJ in a carbine/rifle...he has yet to fire it because, like you, he can't find brass. That was two years ago that he bought it. The shop he bought it from supposedly had both loaded and empty brass in a bag for that rifle, they haven't been able to produce it since he signed on the dotted line.

From what he told me, he talked to Jones, and there was no plan to make any more 375JDJ brass. I know you can buy loaded rounds if you search, bit they push $8/cartridge. I have found the brass before (I always keep an eye out for him in my travels), but its usually there and gone.

I almost bought that rifle, but didn't like the fact there was no "support" for the caliber...so I passed and bought a 375 Ruger.

I will pass the information on about not being able to form brass...that's been his plan all along, make his own from 444 brass. He has the dies, no brass.

I also shoot an 15" Encore in .375 JDJ, fortunately I acquired my brass and necked down, fire formed it long before the shortage, plus the .444 (two rifles) has long been a favorite of mine, so I used to be able to buy bulk bags of brass for them and my stock will let me ride thru the shortage for a while, keep checking with the online distributors and you will get lucky

    good luck
