i have several rifles in 35 remington including the Marlin 336A, a 336RC, a Remington model 8, two Remington model 141s, A Remington model 14 and a pristine Remington model 760. One of my 141s is modified w/16 inch barrel and D&T. For hunting, she is ideal.

The 35 Remington is a perfect all arounder for normal hunting (not long range sniping) - good up to and including black bear.

The deer on my tailgate was taken at 100+ yards with my modified 141. One shot Kill.

Congrats on a great find. I have never seen one in real life. 35's are rare around here no matter which model.

When you find a ad like I did wanting to trade a Marlin 35 for a Marlin 30/30, I couldn't email or text the person fast enough! We talked on phone,I sent him pictures of my 30/30, he sent me pictures of 35 and deal was verbal done on phone! Just had to wait a week while he went on vacation to Florida. He came meet me at my house! Plus! He handed me the reloads that was given to him! Plus! Did a fast clean job this morning on outside, this what it looks like in daylight! Not bad for a 70 year old Marlin.

It's not perfect, I don't need perfect. Will take apart and do a good cleaning, order me a peep sight for it. Looks like it's range time Saturday morning!

I'll run across a nice waffle top one day. Not sure what cal I'm hoping for as I'm tossed up between the 35 Rem or a 32 Win Spl which I don't own right now. Either one will come home with me for sure if it is in that condition!

Okay! I did sneak out to the range today and shot my Marlin 35! I was able to put on paper at 100 yards, by fudging my shooting low! Yep I have to changed the front sight to a taller one. I shot the reloads I was given! They shot great! Pictures once I get my phone and computer back on talking terms!
    Info on the reloads.

    35 Remington
    170 speer
    35 grams of IMR 3031
    CCI primer 250

01-05-2002 is the date they was loaded.
