Twist rate is 1 in 10 I think... My 336W likes the Hornady 160 grain gummy tips and the Speer 170 grain hot cores...

It all depends on your particular rifle. One of my 336's shoots 160gr gummy tips just fine, the other one does't. For pure accuracy both of my 336's shoot the best with 130 speer fphc's with near maximum loads of lvr or CFE223. I enjoyed working up loads for them.

I have the Texan and a model 94 and both shoot the 170 gr bullets the best.
