Can someone explain to me what I'm looking at and why

Browsing ebay for Marlin 336 and 39A parts and accessories and see these bone white butt plates for sale. With what we do with out rifles whether it be just target practice or hunting I can't imagine a bone white butt plate.

    Never seen them.

Had to type in white butt plate to find them. Why? Vendor must be making it's own butt plates.

I saw this on ebay earlier in the week and wondered the same thing.

One person's 'Bling' is another person's sacrilege.

I haven't seen those 'bone white' parts, and I don't think I want to.
Perhaps they are resin copies of original parts or 3-D printed??

Maybe it's referring to the white layer of the OE butt stock plate/s?

It would be interesting to see one on a rifle.

People have their own opinions of what looks good.

This is the "fresh off the mill" version of my tip cap.
    Some people like it.
    Most people hate it.

    I like it.

Not bad! might take a little getting used to, but not bad.

I had to look it up, never saw it before.
I'm not a fan of it. I would think it would get dirty/discolored quickly.
