336w wood over the last few years

Does anyone know what wood have been used in 336w stocks over the last couple years. I see some videos on YouTube that look like laminate and some that are lighter wood.
What were jm 336w rifles using? And did it change a few times?

    2002 and 2017.
    Still birch.

I have seen a few laminates within the last couple of years. But, my 2016 is birch. I also remember a report a couple of years ago that Marlin was going to stop using birch and use laminates. But, go to a LGS and check one out for yourself.

The ugly ones at Walmart were laminate and looked like plastic...worse than black synthetic is wood that looks plastic.

I grabbed one a few weeks ago for a beater rifle. It’s a light wood. Not sure if it’s birch or not. I’m just the curious type and was curious whether they used laminate for a time or a darker wood.

This year. The date code is kind of stamped messed up but I think it’s made in January of this year.

On the newer 336W, it's most likely Birch wood.

    Birch...
