Shot my Marlin 336 .38-55 JES Rebore yesterday

What a blast. I took 50 rounds I had loaded up. 20 with SNS cast 250 gr bullets and 9 gr Unique, 20 with their coated bullet and 10 with the coated bullet and 18.5 gr of H4198. The rifle shot great and I had no issues. Velocities were 1113 fps for the cast bullet Unique load, 1108 for the coated bullet Unique load and 1185 for the coated bullet H4198 load. The target picture is my best group of the day. Considering I'm an old guy with crummy eyesight I'll take it. Time to buy more brass.

my internet doesn't let me see the pictures right now, but I totally know what you mean, I just shot my first match with mine, and it was such a joy to have such little recoil, great accuracy, and a heavy chunk going just fast enough to get the job done. My friend and spotter even said he could see some of the bullets flight, and knew the steel was going to fall and "CLANG"!

Just curious. Do they do relines to the original bore? Or only step ups so to speak?

Also when they do the Caliber change..How do they remark the caliber stamping? Thanks

He rebores and rechambers the barrel and xxx’s out the original caliber and stamps the new one. Not sure if he does relines, but John Taylor, Taylor Machine is the go to for relines for many.

I have some refinement to do with mine, but absolutely love it. Even with the beautiful crescent, it is so comfortable to shoot.

In my experience - Move your front rest up under the receiver and watch your groups shrink significantly.....

    Love that JES....
I like it. I love it. Can't get enough of it.

Lever Action Silhouette Rifle - You get more clang for your bang with lever action silhouette.....
