Mine is a 2007 which is their debut year. According to Tomray who worked at Marlin NH, their are some 35K to 40K JM 308ME's prior Remington discontinuing them.

Remington did make one small run of 308ME's, I believe in 2012, then that was it. For years Remington said they would reintroduce them but never did.

My 2007 308ME shoots sub-moa and will never be sold.

I have one I believe it is a 2007 also. Also shoots Sub MOA. But FTX bullets suck for killing big bucks past 200 yards. Shot two last year and no pass through. One at 178 the other at 208 range finder calculated. The 208 yard on escaped to die another day to another hunter. Shoulder was so mangled and had gang green two weeks after I shot him.

Da Duke, the FTX bullet is why I'm about to debut my bonded JSP's, three bullet weights, that are specifically designed for the 308ME. Ask Jay (Ret-Eng) what he thinks of them, he's bagged two deer so far using them. Both pass through and no damaged meat.

I had a 2007 version and foolishly sold it. Later bought a Remington built in 2014 as a project rifle and then foolishly sold it. Bought another 2007 JM version and it's here to stay. It's the one below the 338MX. Both 20" barrels and Leupold VX3 2.5x8-36 scopes. Still need to send the 308 scope to Leupold for the CDS dial conversion.TvJwTPPZQYuguttkNqd18A.jpg

They are nice rifles, but seeing their prices lately, I'll probably never own one.

What years were affected by the barrel droop? Both calibers, or just the 308MX?
