My contact at Marlin confirms this and tells me they will reintroduce both of the ME rifles.

Even though I reload for both the 308ME and 338ME, I often look at availability of their LE ammo. I always see it available and you can always by up in the Spring when they finish their semi annual run of the bullets.

That said, I'm about to debut my custom bonded 308ME bullets and probably the 338ME bullets will follow next year.

I was on Midway today and they had the 338 FTX listed as out of stock no backorder limited production Ugh.

    Your bullets sound interesting.

The 338LE ammunition is more seasonal than the 308LE is, the latter is run twice per year while the former is once per year. Hornady usually runs it in the spring so it should be showing up in abundance fairly soon. You can always call Hornady and inquire when they expect to ship 338LE and be ready.

32SPC is the same, one run per year while there is rarely a shortage of 30-30 year around.

If you wish to be put on the notify list when I launch the bullets here on MO, just let me know.

    Other shooting/reloading companies have them.

I have done the conversion to .33 WCF on a Marlin 95 along the way. If you do it the carrier must be cut back as far as you can without interfering with the carrier rocker & you will still need to shorten the brass some to reduce the overall length enough to cycle through the action- I was using hornady 200 grain flat points & don't remember the overall length for sure but think it was about 2.65" or a little more. The ftx bullets did not exist back then so no experience with them. The arrangement worked pretty well and was pretty accurate-seems like the velocity was about 2350 fps but don't remember the load data. I pulled the barrel and went with a .356 WCF barrel for better bullet selection besides hornady stopped making the 200 grain .338 FP bullet. I still have the 33 WCF barrel and 200 or better flat point bullets. Which ever way you go good luck with your project.
The case capacity of the .338 MX is 61 grains of water.
