I believe that would be the LIfter/Carrier screw that is vital for feeding. Does your gun still work?

    Check 'gunparts.com'

The carrier screw goes in from the right...

The one on the left is a trigger guard screw...

Along the same lines … I have a 1894SBL and both of the screws that hold on the front sight post backed out and one is lost. I ordered 3 different screws from MGW and none are correct. Finally called Marlington and they are sending some screws free of charge. But even he was not sure if they were the correct ones. Anybody got any ideas?

Trigger guard plate support screw #301490. This is the short screw. Do not put a longer screw in there, it will hang up the action.

Best thing to do is........order one of each of all the screws.......

don't get caught with your pants down......

Midway usually has 'em all......about $3 a pop.........

Tang screw is $6...just go to Marlin gun parts

    support screw
