Scope suggestions for 1894 CB 45lc

I want, no, need a scope for my 20" 45lc, blued. Good for 50+ yards. I don't hunt , just enjoy shooting.
    Any thoughts? Thanks, Robert.

    I needed a scope on my 357.

I have a 1x4 Vortex Cross-fire on my Henry BBS 41 mag., and
    a 1x4 Leuopld on a shortie 35 Rem.

I think either would look good and be very suitable for your needs.

If you can find a used Leupold VX 2 1-4x20 but if not a Leupold VX Freedom 1.5-4x20 with Pig Plex. I dont like the tactical looks of the Freedom Series but I recently purchased one and have been impressed. The Pig Plex reminds me of the German 4 reticle.

It would benefit me to scope my Marlin 1894 24" Limited 45LC as well. Like you, I do not hunt, just shoot. However... I just cannot bring myself to do it. Just something about scoping a lever action that is unnatural and does not look right. But I get it, sometimes it must happen.

There's always the "old school" thought--just put a standard 4X scope on it. It's worked for me. You might also try a decent set of peep sights.

I have both of these.Nikon is on my 1980 Marlin 1894-C.Leupold is on my Henry steel boy H010 357.
    Leupold vx1 2-7x33,$179
    Nikon prostaff 2-7x32 $149
Either will work fine @ 50yrds.Both come in 3-9x40 for about the same price, if you want a little more magnification.

I have tried several peep sights on different rifles, my eyes are just not that good anymore. I really like the looks of the peeps, but can't make out the target . I can either see the sights clearly , or the target. Not both. Looking around in my box of scopes yesterday, I found a 2x20 Bantam scope that seems to work. Have several on some rimfires , they are about 8"long, look good on this rifle, so I'll try this out for a while.
    Good day to all yall!
