    Marlin Stock ?

Picked up this Marlin stock and forearm today at a gun show. Can someone identify what model this fits?

If it's truly an 1894, it would be the 1894C, the .357 as they have the barrel band.

It could be a 336 Texan too, if it's not an 1894..

I'm sure others will be more help.

It's either a 336 or an 1894...most likely a 1894 as most 336 had a pistol grip stock. Again, not sure. Hopefully you will find out shortly.

does the red part on the butt end have a logo ?
the forearrm does not appear to have the recess on the rear left like an 1895.

1894.. Mine is a 2000 model and I refinished it last year.. It looks just like that. Butt pad, spacer and all. Good find!
Thanks dad for taking me hunting.

You should show a picture of the forearm from the side. I'm betting it's an 1894C .357, as it has a barrel band rather than the end cap of a 1894 44 mag.
