    Off center primer stike

Just curious if off-center primer strikes are typical with marlin 1894C's. All of my fired cases show the primer strike off center, although they all fire just fine. I'm wondering if this indicates a potential problem or if accuracy could be affected. Any thoughts?

Don't have a pic, yet, but off center consistently enough to notice.

I don't think off center primer strikes matter. I have a few rifles that do it, inlcuding just about all of my milsurps except my beautifully manufactured swiss K31's. It hasn't stopped accuracy or reliability yet.

Is it off center like this off center? These are from my 1894 .44mag. I don't think any of my firearms strike center.

Pretty sure you're fine as long as the firing pin isn't hitting the wall of the primer and you have consistent ignition.

Truck and Huntmeister, you have potentially dangerous rifles! Do NOT shoot them!!

Box them up and send them to me. I'll make sure they get shot, er, destroyed before someone gets hurt!

All my Marlins hit within a micron of center.

The 1894s around here hit dead center too. If it's off, I can't tell it.

    Re: Off center primer stike

Thanks everyone. Sounds like it may not be an issue. Like i said , there are no apparent problems with the rifle, I was just curious if others were seeing the same thing.
