I just learned something new, as I had to look up what an M model was. Pretty cool and you have to post pics when you get the rifle.

Now I have another Marlin rifle to look for at gun shows.

Here she is in all her beauty

tested out the feeding tonight and it fed 50gr federals and 40gr cci flawlessly without a hiccup, even when turned on its side.

    Good looking gun. Good find.

I have a 1894M that is from 1984, I beleive, and really enjoy it. I rescued it from a fellow who kept it on his outside porch to shot hogs. It was abused but I got it to shoot 1 inch groups at 50 yards. It rides in my truck with my golden retriever and I. My favorite rifle.
