I see a "Deluxe" version for an 1894 and a 336...obviously the page directs you to dealers but I've had no luck seeingthese anywhere or what they are costing...anybody have one?

I spoke to my dealer a while back about pricing and he pretty much said they are running right around what you would pay for a SDT or SDG rifle say $600-$750. From what I understand they are a limited run and the only difference is upgraded wood and different barrel markings/serial number. Besides that they are only available to certain volume dealers/distributors. Hope this helps.

Just got off the phone with Marlin C.S.

Guy did not seem to be too helpful and knew little about anything regarding Marlin..all he could reference was a computer screen telling him this or that...Hiring CUSTOMER SERVICE people who do not know the product or services offered is just bad.

ANYHOW...he told me the Deluxe version did "so well" in 2009 that it is listed for a production gun in 2010....1894 available only in .44 mag

For a limited run that did "so well"..it's amazing I cannot find any info. whatsoever on these pieces...I mean nobody seems to know a darned thing about them or their existence.

I've been looking to buy a 30-30 version of the deluxe. None of the dealers or distributors I have talked to have seen one. I'm gussing this is like the 480 chambered 1895, in the catalogue, but never made!
