Mine with Ghost Rings Sights, Needed some adjustment to suit my eye... Mostly in the windage adjustment.  To me I dont see the Ghost rings to be that accurate, that you can adjust out a couple of inches here and there.  Also doesn't it depend on the ammunition you are going to use weather or not they would correspond with the ballistics of the ammunition?

My advice is to load up your favorite ammo, start out at a shorter range and adjust from there.  I never have expected much from the "factory" having my sights adjusted for me in the past with any gun, nor will I ever. YMMV

Most new firearms are not sighted in at the factory with any high degree of precision, which makes sense, because the new owner will have to sight in for himself anyway. I don't know if or to what range the SBL's ghostring sights may have been adjusted before leaving the factory. And I would never depend upon a factory sighting anyway...always check/adjust it with the load(s) you'll be using before you go out to the field.

Some of my guns have come from the factory needing no adjustment, but I think that was just dumb luck. Almost all needed a tweak (some more than others).

To my surprise, mine was dead on at 50yds and 2" high at 100yds. Loads were the Remington 405gr SP and handloads with 322gr HP and 385gr RN cast bullets at roughly 1400fps.

Ditto for a friends rifle.  My local shop came up with a SBL and I talked a buddy into getting it instead of the bolt gun he wanted.  Anyway it is dead on at 50 and 2'' high at 100 with Rem 405s right out of the box.

Mine was quite a bit low at 100 yrds.  I still have to get it out and adjust the rear sight.

Has anyone adjusted the ghost ring before on their sbl? I found mine a bit confusing?  2 screws along side the ring and one larger screw in front.  Do I have to loosen both screws to screw the ghost ring up?  I loosened one screw as recommended and my windage moved very easy, couldn't loosen the ghost ring though.  I was afraid to crank on it too hard and damage it.
