Are these stocks the same internals? Can I order a 17 stock and it fit my 882?

Unless you have the 882SSV the barrel channel will be bigger than you need but still usable.  The internals with these two models are the same, even the magazines are the same, so the action from the 882 will be a drop in fit for a stock from a 17V.  Don't know if Marlin did any changes to the inletting with their new 900 series because of the different trigger group but you could always call and ask their service department before you buy one.  Hope this helps
