Bolt removal on mod25

the bolt on my grandfather's glenfield mod 25 wont release by pulling trigger and pulling on bolt Is there something else I needto do? any help would be good thanks

Mine I have to push the saftey forward Fire position .. while pulling the bolt back and the trigger depressed
