Wanted to know how many people out their own one and if you like it. Just picked one up myself. Be nice to see some pictures of your setup . Also wanted to know what type of shells shoot best. I've only shot mine 8 times so far and it kicks like a mule. But its still a great shooter

I have one and I love it. Mine wears a Simmons 1.5-5 x 32 on a B-Square mount. Cloverleaf holes at 100 yards with Hastings Laser-Accurate 3" sabot slugs. OUCH!!!! (but ouch on both ends)

I purchased one back about march I think . At the time I already had a Savage 210F and earlier had a Browning A Bolt 12 gauge .

I still have the Savage 210F , earlier I had sold the Browning because someone wanted it more then I did . And after getting the Marlin 512 I decided the Savage 210F felt a heck of a lot better in my hands then the Marlin so I sold it maybe a month after I got it .

Also sold a pair of H&R 20 gauge single barrel rifled slug guns and purchased the new Savage 220F which is a new 20 gauge bolt action rifled slugger .

So for now my slugging is taken care of by the Savage 210F and 220F along with my old Remington 1100 with the smoothbore slug barrel for Foster Slugs out to 50 yards .

dereck,  We have 3 in our family. Brother,Nephew and myself. I swear by them. We have Syn and Wood, Ported etc..  Over the years we have found the best round is the Federal Barnes Expander 2 3/4 in 1 oz Sabot Slug. Dead on at 100 yrds. Good for 130 yrds on hair.  We all have taken many Deer in the midwest with the 512p or 512.  Great Great firearm. One snaffu with the gun. You should only put one extra round in the clip. If you have 2 shells in the clip and fire it will jam the two shells down inside the clip. (recoil pressure I guess)  No biggie. No one is fast enough for 3 rounds anyhow. :O) Hope that helps out. Enjoy.. Dave

Pain maker is what I call mine.
I have a few areas around here were it is shot gun only and that what she is there for.
I'll have to dig her out for a pic.
