If you could tape a nickle to them and throw them away that way at least if someone finds them they will have found something.

I'd rather my sister worked in a whore house, than for it to get out I was using them.

Ok swampman. I realize the deap seated hatred that you have for this particular device, but your innability to recognize that anyone could have any particular use for these , well I just don't understand. I will concede. Have a good day swampman. Wink

I had weaver see-through mounts on my 336 in 35 Rem, but they made the scope sit up so highthat the rifle was unbalanced. That is the main reason I took them off. I finally just went back to the factory iron sights and was happy with that. The rifle was lighter, quicker pointing and generally looked better. I have since decided that scopes and lever action rifles are not ment to be together (IMHO) TD

I once undertook the correction of a "customizing" job on a relative's converted military rifle.  It came to me with a flat-bottomed see-through mount screwed to the top of the round receiver.  I put, at my expense, a proper fitting low mount scope base on it, which improved its function and looks 1000%, and caught the wrathful criticism of other family members for my effort.  There just is no pleasing some folks.  Guess on which side of the see-through issue I stand?
