Does anyone know if we can still get LEE to make us a mold?

Don't know about specific molds. However Lee has some of RD's rejects listed on its web site under "closeouts" for sale.

Are those the ones that were seriously undersized?  I imagine any rejects that weren't up to Ranchdog's standards would not be up to mine.

Undersized, Huh would be good for paper patched bullets. Wink

I e-mailed the question to LEE.  They offered to make one up.  The set up cost was a little steep so I passed.  Basically the cost was the same as a custom mold.

There are various group buys being over on the Cast Boolit forum for all these designs. There have been so many I'm not sure what is open and what isn't. You might watch there.

You can always contact SwedeNelson and see if he will be making more soon. http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?t=54638

Good evening
SwedeNelson always has Group Buys going over at CastBoolits. He has some very good looking designs going.  You could go to the Want to Buy board and post a request.

I have ordered a couple of the 265 grain 444 molds from Lee last week off the "close out" list.  Have I screwed up?  Are these too small to be any good?

The one I bought directly from Lee cast at just over .430, which is fine for me.  I believe the original RD specs were at .432 which is why they were considered undersized.

Try it and see and I bet you'll be fine...my .44's all get fed .430 sized bullets
