Failure to Fire - Remove the firing pin and look at it closely and see the step in the pin where it is relieved inside the rim area. Stone it down some more around .008 deeper. This allows the pin to strike harder.
Failure to Eject - Put a round in the bolt and see if the extractor goes in fully to the side of the case. If it does not, simply pull the extractor and spread the extractor end open a little with a screwdriver on my Leatherman Micra. Put it back in and should now grab the rim on any brand at the rim and side of case.
While you have it apart relieve the rebounding struts lower end a little for better hammer strike.
The trigger, yep, you can pick the gun up with it. My gauge only goes up to 72 oz. and it takes more to set it off. It is now 2.5lbs with just a little stoning and bending the trigger return spring. Trigger job done.
My 2 cents. Good Luck

Is there a reason why new guns with ftf and fte problems are not sent back to the factory?

Does anyone who bought a NEW 39A in 2010 have anything good to report?

I realize this is a late reply but purchased a new 39A in May and it seems to function fine. Took a few shots before cleaning it using only Remington Golden solid bullets. (Over 10 years old by the way} I then cleaned and reassembled it and tested for extraction and ejection about 20 cycles, with no apparent problems. I have not fired it again because of time constraints and rain, but everything looks good to go.
